King prawns have an iridescent blue/purple colouration on the tail when raw, and rosy pink/orange bands when cooked. They have a rich flavour, and are perfect served chilled with dipping sauces, battered, crumbed, or added to casseroles, laksas and paella. King prawns are found nearly all the way round the Australian coastline, and Mooloolaba King Prawns are caught off the Queensland coast in the suburb of Mooloolaba. Product of Australia.
